My first course is in session, and I’m alive, well, and actually have students to teach. I can’t tell you the relief to step into this crazy uncomfortable place. However, I’m here to stand and tell you the lessons I learned and that YOU can do this too! Here are some of the top lessons I learned:
1. Wordpress.org – I feel like a web developer rock star (and I’m not one), so kudos to WordPress for continuing to give me false confidence.
2. Optimize Press – Easy to use, and easy to figure out. It may not be the most beautiful theme, but I loved them to the core.
3. Google Drive – I threw this up in a whim and started using it. I’m still doing my own research on any downfalls of using it, but for now, it’s the backbone of my course.
4. Camtasia software – For walking through and creating videos from power points, this was such easy to use software.
5. Vimeo.com – Walk away, no, actually run. Granted, it could be user error on my point, but because of the headaches they caused, I will definitely be cancelling my account.
P.S. My first course was www.theprestigiouspractice.com (you can jump on the mailing list if you want in on the next one)
And then be sure to sign-up on The Starters Club list if you want in on my course for starting your own business coming at the end of July! Free Trainings will start at the beginning of the month.
