[Think Like An Entrepreneur Thursday] Ep. 9 How To Manage Your Priorities
When we come from an employee world, it is a very structured setting. As an entrepreneur, we go into task overload.
There’s honestly one simple way to determine what will move the needle, and that’s determining what’s going to bring you the most profits.
With everything you do ask yourself, "How will it generate to my bottom line?". If you’re not quite sure or if it’s a more grand idea than you thought, then you need to let it go away.
Let me give you an example. When I first started my business, I made a mistake with my podcast. I loved podcasting, but I had no real strategy behind it. It was simply about getting content out there. I should have used it in a much bigger way to drive opt-ins to my list, and to use it as a true business builder rather than just a content builder.
Too many times we get stuck in shiny object syndrome, where new things always feel like the next great idea. However, if you keep jumping on every new thing and not sticking to the things that are priorities, you'll never get the traction you need in your business.
I can't stress enough how everything you do needs to have a strategy behind it, and that strategy should always align with your bottom line.
