[VLOG] 3 Qualities of All Successful Entrepreneurs

When it comes to being an entrepreneur I know a lot of you are wondering if you have it in you and do I know how to do this. I am here to tell you that it is not that hard you just have to have a few important qualities and willingness and you can seriously do whatever you set your mind to.

The first one is a really strong WHY and mission. This is one of the things that I learned in my third business, because entrepreneurship is hard. I wish I could tell you that it is super easy; that you get this idea and move with it and everything falls into place and you never have to worry another day in your life. There are some great days and there are some hard days. And setting a WHY is going to get you through those hard days. The WHY is something bigger than you it’s a passion. It is a combination of a passion and what makes you tick, what makes you come alive and what is really important to you in life. How are you going to measure your life? And the WHY is driven around the business. There are going to be days when you want to give up. And there are going to be days that you want to go back to comfort, the known and back to the easy. But if your WHY is greater than you are, you can’t stop because if you go back to those things you won’t feel complete and you will feel gross and that you can’t go back to this. If I can’t ever get back to this my life here on earth has not been fulfilled and that is a pretty big issue to have. So create a WHY that is bigger than you is really important. For myself I know that recusing dogs is everything to me. I am a huge animal lover and to be in a shelter picking up a new puppy and knowing that I am giving them a life is just is the most amazing feeling in the world to me. And part of my business is to fund my own rescue and just to be able to do that makes my heart so incredibly full. I know that if I go back to corporate America or the small things I will never do that and it is not a complete life for me. Think about your WHY, think about something driving; you hate your boss and you want to make money are not good WHY. Think about something bigger than you. What do you want to fulfill here on this earth? And if you do not know start thinking about you WHY.

The second one is a willingness to learn. I wish I could tell you that you are going to start a business and you are going to learn everything. I look at entrepreneurship like parenting. There is no parent on this earth who knows everything the moment that they had a baby. So why do we let that same idea that we know everything stop us from being an entrepreneur, we learn as we go. Sometimes we screw up but all in all are babies are still here and we learn as every step comes. Same thing with entrepreneurship, you have to be willing to learn. You want to read, you never going to know everything. You are going to take one step forward and you are going to realize that you don’t know something else and you are going to learn it and it will come. And it is the most fulfilling thing in the world because as an entrepreneur you are pretty much learning daily and it is so much fun and so much more exciting than the corporate side of things where you just start to go through motions as so many of us do. So you just have to be willing and know that you are not going to know everything and know that you are going to learn something and it is going to work out in your favor. So don’t be afraid of the unknown and don’t be afraid because you don’t know everything because you never will. And that is the beauty of the whole thing.

The third thing is creativity. Even if someone sets a plan for you to take these exact steps things are going to fall differently for you. And it is not going to be as easy as follow these same steps. You may have a little bit of a different message that you want to share or things might just work out a little bit differently and you have to be thinking outside the box. The beautiful thing about creativity even if you are saying, “I am not a creative person” the more you work it the more you cultivate it the more it comes. So just start trying to think outside the box, start working your creativity, start thinking about it. When we don’t use it goes away. I know for me it was the biggest lesson that I learned because I used to love to write and I would write stories all the time and as life happened and other stuff came to be, I stopped writing and suddenly those ideas that never stopped pouring into my head went away. It was the hardest lesson that I had to learn because I used to just have ideas randomly come to me and now they are no longer there. You have to cultivate it. Now that I am back to writing again things are always there. Make sure that you are reading, that you are channeling, talking to other entrepreneurs and seeking out the creativeness and it is going to come. Don’t shut this out as a potential to be an entrepreneur just because you are not creative and don’t have that label.

I am here to tell you that these are the top three things that entrepreneurs have. It is not a difficult thing. You can create any business you want and you do have it in you. Creativity can all be around money. You don’t need a ton of money just be creative in how you can make the money that you do have grow and work for you and everything is possible.
